ENVIRONMENT /

PermaRock is committed to continuous improvements in its environmental performance and in the prevention of pollution and its environmental impact.

Environmental regulations, laws and codes of practice are regarded as setting the minimum standards for our environmental performance.

We recognise that in our day-to-day operations we inevitably impact on the environment in a number of ways and westrive to minimise the potentially harmful effects of such activity wherever and whenever possible. As part of our continuing drive for quality we operate a policy which enables us to set targets by which our efforts towards sustainable environmental improvement can be measured and monitored on a regular basis.

We have undertaken to help all PermaRock personnel to understand and to implement the relevant aspects of this policy in their day-to-day works through the regular communication of objectives, action plans and achievements.

ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems (EMS) Accreditation

PermaRock have started working towards achieving BS EN ISO 14001 Accreditation through the Building Standards Institute (BSI) with an aim of achieving the certification by May 2012.

BS EN ISO 14001 sets out how you can go about putting in place an effective Environmental Management System (EMS) and should help PermaRock identify our environmenal impacts and highlight areas where environmental improvements can be made to the processes and practices of the business unit.
