EXTERNAL WALL INSULATION /
ENVIRONMENT /
With buildings responsible for about half of the UK's CO2 emissions, 30% from homes and 20% from commercial buildings, one of the most efficient ways of reducing this CO2 output is to provide better insulation to the building fabric.
PermaRock external wall insulation systems deliver significant environmental benefits by reducing heating/cooling energy demand and heat energy losses, thereby reducing CO2 emissions that contribute to the greenhouse effect and global warming.
PermaRock systems are zero ODP and employ CFC/HCFC-free materials, with GWP < 5 in all cases.
Greener Supply & Recycling
PermaRock has an on-going programme of waste management and reduction initiatives to minimise waste as well as providing the opportunity of recycling of system components.
Examples of key benefits to using PermaRock systems are:
- Greener Supply: Ongoing efforts are being made to reduce packaging waste. PermaRock are also looking at other in-house initiatives to reduce waste for raw materials and recycling as well as liaising with installers and project teams to produce improved workable solutions.
- Insulation: Insulation boards are CFC (chlorofluorocarbons) and HCFC (hydrochlorofluorocarbons) free and they have zero ozone depletion potential (zero-ODP) and/or zero global warming potential (GWP).
- Recycling: Recycling of certain insulation materials is now available.
Energy Saving Trust Approved Product
PermaRock systems are also listed on the EST site, www.energysavingtrust.org.uk, confirming that PermaRock systems are among the most energy efficient in their category, helping reduce energy costs and preventing climate change.
