EXTERNAL WALL INSULATION /
THERMAL /
PermaRock external wall insulation systems can provide considerably higher levels of thermal insulation than the minimum requirements set out in the Building Regulations 2010 Approved Documents L1 and L2.
The incorporation of a PermaRock system into the envelope design can make a significant contribution to the improved energy standards of level 4, 5 and 6 of the Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH) and the AECB Carbonlite program, where sustainable and zero carbon design standards are described.
PermaRock undertakes thermal transmission (U-value) calculations using the methodology of BS EN ISO 6946: 1996 or BR443, depending on the form of construction, to determine the optimum thickness of insulation necessary to achieve the required level of thermal resistance on each individual project.
Systems can be designed to meet CSH Levels 1-6, Carbonlite Silver, Passivhaus or Gold standards, or any other performance standard and to match or exceed the Building Regulations ADL requirements.
